Welcome to the Turco Lab!

We are interested in understanding how the placenta develops and how it works together

with the mother’s uterus during the mysterious and fascinating event of pregnancy.

We use a diverse range of experimental tools including three-dimensional organoid models, imaging, bioengineering, CRISPR/Cas and single-cell technologies to study the early processes occurring during the establishment of pregnancy in humans.

Please have a browse at our website to find out more and thank you for visiting!

We are based at the Department of Pathology, University of Cambridge.
